Does conversion of Asn-Gly to Asp-Gly readily occur during trypsin
digestion of proteins in 50 mM ammonium bicarbonate?
MS/MS data of tryptic digests of a protein of interest to us, show the
presence of a peptide with both Asn-Gly and Asp-Gly at a particular site
after 6-8 hours of digestion. However, only the Asp-Gly form of the
peptide is present after overnight digestions. Any good literature
references to this phenomenon would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
