Dear Millie:

I have successfully used DMSO (15% in DMF and up to 100%) as
(additional) solvent in case of difficult couplings. Unprotected Met
may oxidize during prolonged couplings.
A useful reference is: C. Hyde , T. Johnson R.C. Sheppard, J. Chem.
Soc. Chem. Commun. 1992, 1573-1575.

I also have a Rainin Symphony but never tried DMSO either. If used
it in a low percentage (15-20%) it should be fine.

Best of luck!

Henriette
