Derek,
A Henzel and Schultz contribution to The Current Protocols in Protein Science lists
them in a table (16.2.3) in the Mass Spec chapter, Volume 2, on page 16.2.6.
In my hands the two most common are T7 (V100-R107) and T4 (L50-K69) (tryptic peptides
having been numbered from their position in the chain, T1 being the N-terminal
peptide). In MALDI analysis of the digest, I often use them as internal calibrants.
The others noted are T5, T8 and T12.
For the masses, digest the TRYP_Pig P00761 from the chain start amino acid nine.
