A new project focused on applied proteomics is currently in an intense
planning and implementation phase. Within this project, there is currently
an opportunity for 2 experts in 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis and
protein mass spectrometry respectively.
1) Expert in 2D Electrophoresis
Applicants should have a Ph.D. or similar experience from industry
including experiences in the different 2D technologies (sample preparation
1st dim, 2nd dim, staining, imaging) and their capacities and limitations.
Experience from handling samples from different biological origin is a
merit. Applicants should be familiar with differential display experiments
and it is also desirable with a knowledge in the use of fluorescent
staining techniques. The project aims to produce and analyze large amounts
of data, the use of bioinformatic tools in protein identification and
experiences from automation of processes are therefore also considered to
be important. Applicants should also have a positive attitude towards
woring in a dynamical environment.

2) Expert in Protein Mass Spectrometry
Applicants should have a Ph.D. or similar experience from industry
including experience in protein identification using on-line capillary
LC-ES-MS/MS and MALDI-MS. Experiences from characterization of protein
modifications and sequencing of peptides by MS/MS are considered to be
additional merits. The project aims at producing and analyzing large
amounts of data. Experience from the use of bioinformatic tools in protein
identification as well as from automation of processes are therefore
considered to be valuable. Applicants should preferably also have a
positive attitude towards working in a dynamical environment.
