I have had this idea floating around in my head and it is going to
take a little bandwidth for me to explain it. I would like to create
some kind of summer scholarship program for college students say jrs
and srs to work in a Core Facility that ABRF would sponsor. I'm
looking for the type of student that could be molded into a future
productive, ethical technician. At TSRI we have summer scholarships
for the students we hope will be future Nobel prize winners but what
about the kids that aren't going to win that prize but can still be
wonderful techs?
There is also the possibility of getting high school students involved too.
What do you guys think?
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone in San Diego. I feel
like we need to bond.
