Linda,

Based on the description that you presented/addressed on the electronic board
it seems that the proposed study/protein sequencing sample is entirely within
the
scope of the ABRF Mission. That is of course assuming that the Mission is not so
far above or beneath our comprehension.

I was not aware that the proposed studies contained prerequisites/qualifying
factors
requiring data appropriate for publication(s). I believe that the participating
community
should be made aware of changes of this magnitude.

If samples were prepared anticipating a study, I would like to request a sample.
I understand
that I would provide my own internal evaluation and monitor the improvements of
capabilities
in our core facilities.

In the future I would hope that the powers that be will re-address the decision
to disband the
PSRG (Protein Sequencing Research Group). It is in my opinion (sequencing person
and loving it)
that sequencing will never nor can it be replaced in this technological age.
Therefore a study like
the one that was proposed would be advantageous for core facilities.

Also did I miss an announcement regarding the disbanding of the PSRG, if so
where might I find this
information/discussion.
