Lei,
We've been using (for 2 years now) a Sorvall RT7 Centrifuge (32 x 81 x 64
cm (h x w x depth)) with an RTH-750 rotor that can be accessorized with 4
microplate carriers (Part No. 11779 (per 2)). The User's Manual states
that microplates can be stacked three to a carrier (therefore enabling one
to spin 12 96-well plates at once) - but I've never had a need to spin more
than four 96-well plates at once, and have never stacked them. Temperature
can be controlled down to 2 degrees C. So far, no complaints with this
instrument.
We own a Model "DNA 110" DNA Speed Vac from Savant that we like alot in
which we dry samples in 0.5-1.5 ml microcentrifuge tubes. You might want
to check them out to see if they sell something that can accomodate plates.
Good luck,
Bob Keefe
