This list is important

Hi all,
since several years I look into/use this list and I think it is for all of
us in our daily life, struggeling with all the problems in the lab of great
or to say better indispensable help. Where can I ask questions like: I see
a mass shift of 47.2 Da, what does it mean ? and where do I get answers,
sometimes I can see the smile in the face of my colleague - and sometimes I
feel the shame when I read the answers.... And - meeting colleagues in real
life not in the cyberspace you have only met in this list before - insnĄt that
interesting, exciting ? And even if I am looking for an email address of a
colleague I want to contact directly.... in many case this list helped me. So
keep the list as it is - but I suggest some improvements: filter the
subscripe/unsubscripe mails (I hope the second ones will not be too many) even if
they are sent to the normal list and so donot show them to everybody, this
will keep the number of mails down and refuse mails without subject, I remove
mails with a subject not interesting to me (sorry for all the DNA people)
and I remove all mails without a subject.
And I suggest for all who have a full email avery day, take on of the
freemailers and use this, so you have less mail in your direct email and these
freemail-guys are usefull for at least something important. Put your virtual
business card under your mail with your real email address and - I think so
- everything is fine.
KEEP THE ABRF LIST AS IT IS !!!!!
Thanks to all
Yours
Manfred
