This might end up being a negative point about joining the abrf. If people moan about
spam now...those same people may not want their email address sent out 4x a year to
vendors, etc. That list is worth $$. Keeping it in paper format puts up a barrier to
abuse, however thin.

ps- This is not to say I don't think that you have a point.

SF Bay Area update: weather nice, leaves still on most trees, think twice if you are
wanting to move here. Rentals are impossible to find (I looked at an in-law place- a run
down 600sqft!! for $2000/month-didn't get it as there were over 200 "applicants/calls" !).
House prices start at 350K for a hovel. My dog does not know the hell I am going through
for her. Prosperity does have a down side.
