The short answer is the degradation will proceed past the glycosylated
residue. You'll just get a blank at the cycle with that residue. A very
good account can be found in Allen's excellent book, Sequencing of Proteins
and Peptides (1989) in the Elsevier Laboratory Techniques series (=vol 9)
(p302-09).
