DNASyn/NARG 2000-2001 study reminder

Hello Everyone,

We have accummulated approximately 23 responses to our general survey. We
were wondering if there are any other DNA synthesis facilities out there
that have yet to respond. Please consider filling out the general survey in
order that we have a true representation of DNA synthesis facilities!
The deadline is set for December 15, 2000 (data entry but oligos need to be
sent within a week after that). Only one week left to participate!!

The Nucleic Acids Research Group (NARG) of the ABRF invites you to
participate in our next study to be presented at ABRF2001, "The New
Biology: Technologies for Resolving Macromolecular Communications." The
study consists of two parts, (1) a general survey and (2) an evaluation of
oligonucleotide synthesis from core facilities by using a novel approach:
isolating synthesis problems by analysis of homopolymer oligonucleotides
for each base (20 mer) such that the synthesis problem is magnified
(19X-20X depending on the problem). Quality control methods (such as HPLC,
capillary electrophoresis, MALDI-TOF and ESI spectrometry) will be compared
in this study. Evaluate your DNA synthesis instrumentation/protocols by
participating in our study!

Web address: http://www.abrf.org/ and then choose "Nucleic Acids Research
Group (NARG) 2000-2001 Study" under the category "Open Research Group
Studies".

Thank you.
