The problem of repeated sending of these huge messages appears to be caused
by computers within Bio Products Laboratory (bioproducts.co.uk), NOT the
senders of the messages. Unfortunately the BPL web site gives no way to
contact their webmaster.
Please, will the list members there contact their IT people and fix this
problem? Also, will the ombudsman please check the list, figure out who
these folks are, and contact them directly?
In the meantime, rather than hundreds of us struggling to figure out how to
block these messages, wouldn't it make more sense for the list server itself
to be altered to block all messages from that site?
IMHO it would also be more than appropriate to permanently set the list
server to reject all messages larger than 50 Kbytes.
