Dear all,
We have an Applied Biosystems Model 431A peptide synthesizer and have
recently upgraded the instrument with software version 2.0 (cartridge
on the back) and SynthAssist 2.0. The problem is that the computer
and the 431A fail to communicate correct (we have tried different Mac
models). We can synchronize the clocks but when we try to download
the Flow tests, Fast-Moc chemistry or any other chemistry using the
"send" command it does not work. We do not get the "chirp" sounds and
the chemistry/flow test are not downloaded. We have tried the "cold
reboot" but it did not help. The computer and the 431A are able to
"see" each other because the clock synchronization works. However,
the downloading to the 431A from SynthAssist does not work.
