Director of Sequencing Operations
Responsible for running the production floor. They would have 2 direct
reports coming in, One from raw data production, the other from the
finishing and mutation group. They would be responsible for a staff of about
40 and would be provide support for both internal and out-client sequencing
operations. 15 megabases/Day on the newest ABI 3700s.
The company is a fully integrated genomics and drug discovery company with
innovative programs in pathogen-, functional- and pharmacogenomics. They are
running a gene sequencing center servicing both internal and out-client
sequencing needs. The company has major alliances with mega drug companies
like Wyeth-Ayerst and Scherring-Plough. They also receive massive funding
from the Mouse and Human Genome Projects.
Salary: Six figures + relocation
