Post-Doctoral Associate
A Post-Doctoral Associate position is available in the Metabolism Dynamics
group with the Syngenta Agricultural Discovery Institute in La Jolla,
California. The successful applicant in this position will work toward
developing new separation technology combined with mass spectrometry for
determining primary and secondary cellular metabolite profiles. Available
instrumentation will include a Micromass GC-TOF, Thermo-Finnigan TSQ,
Thermo-Finnigan Quantum and a Thermo-Finnigan Polaris-Q. Candidates should
have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry (preferably Analytical Chemistry) with
strong computer skills. Computer programming capability will be considered a
plus. This position requires someone who is highly motivated; works well in
a group research environment and yet can operate independently.
