A shot in the dark. I just figured out why some of my data files would be invisible. (At least when viewed over the network). Somewhere in my set-up of NT's to Linux server with Net-a-talk to Macintosh there is a problem with file name length. One can see the long file locally but over the network applications and file systems cannot "see" them.
If your working over the network and the associated zoom scan file name became "too long" it might be inaccessible.
A simple problem that had my knickers in a twist.
