Nick,
we have encountered ourselves a severe lack of reproducibility in our
Dionex system, which was eventually traced to the use of a contaminated
batch of sodium acetate (Fluka P/N 71183, batch 409847/1). Switching to a
"good" batch, whether Fluka or other, fully restored the expected
performance. You could check with Dionex UK if they have any information on
this.
