Hi Angela!
My first try with a Hic would be something like
a phenyl column and binding at 2 M AmSulf, to get
sufficient retention. Some proteins although stick very hard (irreversibly)
to the column,and it may help using NaCl, 3 M( up to 4), and no AmSulf. This
solved a problem for me last year when purifying a protein.
