Sergey,

Get the shortest path length available, which would be the "prep" size cell.
This will give you minimal sensitivity, but maximal dynamic range. You'll
be more able to compare peak sizes and quantitate them, but you may find
some of your smaller peaks disappearing into the background noise. For
preparative applications this is not usually a problem, especially if your
target compound absorbs relatively strongly at the wavelength you use for
detection.

Beckman should be willing to trade cells for you at no cost, especially if
you just bought a bunch of expensive new hardware from them. Insist on it!
