Judy,

R2C is an updated formulation of N-methylpiperidine which substitutes a mixture of butanol and
isopropanol for the methanol in the R2B. It was developed in '98 by Steve O'Neill and Dave Dupont
(if there were others I'm missing, let me know) at ABI. I believe it became a listed product last
year.

The advantage is in the elimination of PMTC (the PITC methanol artifact) which allows DPTU to be
used as a reference peak without PMTC interference. For cLC users, kynurenine and anilidoglutamate
are detectable in the absence of PMTC.
