Research Investigator in Protein Pharmaceutics, St. Louis, MO
The successful candidate will be responsible for analytical support in the
development of parenteral dosage forms for new biological drug candidates.
The selected biological molecules will undergo thorough physical-chemical
characterization and preformulation studies, including identification of
potential drug delivery vehicles and excipients. Identification and
characterization of impurity and degradation products using LC-MS, HPLC,
peptide mapping, and other analytical techniques will be routinely involved.
We require MS with 2-4 years, or Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience.
Experience in biochemistry, protein chemistry, and protein characterization
is essential. A working knowledge of physical chemistry, physical pharmacy,
and parenteral formulation development is preferred. Familiarity with
pharmaceutical processes and equipment is helpful. The successful candidate
will be able to work effectively in a team based environment, should possess
excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to
coordinate and plan specific objectives to meet aggressive timelines.
