We have a storm here. It is almost one year old and I just got our first
service contract renewal. Our renewal price is about 2.5 times what yours
is, I suppose because we are an industrial lab and you are an academic lab.
It is doubtful that we will pay this price for a piece of equipment's
service contract.

I was wondering what other labs do. Has anyone really suffered a large
repair bill for their Storm 860 that has made the approx $6000 service
contract a worthwhile yearly investment?
