In response to Ling-Jie Kong's message of 2/28/01 regarding available
services to determine the phosphorylation site of a protein by MS:
Genomic Solutions' Proteomic Center is capable of handling all aspects of
2D-electrophoresis and mass spectrometry. The mass spectrometry lab
utilizes several state-of-the-art MS instruments. In-gel proteolysis of gel
plugs is automated. MALDI-TOF, LC/MS/MS and ion trap mass spectrometry can
be performed for protein identification on a fee-for-service basis. Protein
characterization and De Novo sequencing are also available on a project
basis.
