Hi. We are submitting a grant for a quantitative real time pcr instrument
for use in our core laboratory in a university setting. We want a 96 or
96/384 well format. Does anyone have input on (1) best type of
instrumentation, i.e. ABI Taqman 7700/7900HT or BioRad icycler or whatever,
(2) use of these instruments in a core setting, (3) are you satisfied or
dissatisfied with your current instrument/service/support/reagents for
quant real time pcr, (4) do you offer users access to the instruments or
run their reactions for them (full service) or both, (5) how do you handle
data delivery, (6) cost savings suggestions or (7) whatever else you would
like to comment on.
Thanks so much for your input.
