Research Officer-Peptide Chemistry (Australia)
This position is open to Australian citizens or persons with an
Australian resident permit.
Xenome is a recently formed and rapidly growing biotechnology company
focusing on the discovery of new pharmaceuticals based on the toxins of
Australia?s venomous animals.
Xenome has established a well-equipped laboratory in Brisbane, Australia and
has an extensive portfolio of intellectual property, including several lead
molecules with exciting potential for treatment of neurological problems,
including severe pain.
A position exists within the peptide laboratory for a motivated person to
carry out peptide synthesis and purification.
Minimum qualification required is BSc(Hons) in Chemistry or Biochemistry
with experience in peptide synthesis and RP-HPLC. A working knowledge of
Windows and/or Mac based computing systems is also desirable.
A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated based on
qualifications and experience.
