One more note about Waters/Micromass CapLC

We've also seen Fe contamination in protein and peptide samples when
using the Waters/Micromass CapLC. Apparently enough people have the
same problem that Waters is doing a study to determine the source of the
Fe.

We know Fe is coming from the CapLC because we've observed it on our LCQ
Deca immediately after connecting the LC.
