Surplus Instruments

My Applied Biosystems Model 430A Peptide Synthesizer and Beckman Model
6300 Amino Acid Analyzer have been declared to be surplus. Both
instruments were shut down according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Both instruments were maintained under manufacturer's service contract
throughout their working lifetime. Both were in good working order when
shut down. Manuals and parts are included with the instruments. A
Spectra Physics ChromJet dual channel integrator is included with the
amino acid analyzer, and will maintain its programs in memory as long as
no one turns the on/off switch to "off" (I just pulled the plug).
If anyone wants either or both of these machines - the peptide
synthesizer has gone to the NIH surplus facility in Gaithersburg, MD, and
the amino acid analyzer (the last time I looked) is still on the loading
dock of Building 3 at NIH.
I hope someone can make use of these instruments.
