Dear ABRF friends:
Good news to all of you who have waited, tried the alternatives and
are now ready for a comparable PAGE product. I have searched,
prodded and, I think, succeeded in finding a source of these
mini-gels for you!
We are now in the final beta-testing stage for the replacement
product for the defunct Genomic Solutions mini gels. They should be
reliable and long lived (>>>2 months), the manufacturer wants to be
in the business long term, and the gels should have the same
characteristics of your previous product.
Dan Crimmins will have a set of their 8-18% Tris-Tricine, 10x10cm
gels to evaluate next week. If these work for him, we will then have
these products commercially available.
If you can be patient just a bit longer, we can let Dan attest to the
capabilities of this new source of product. If they look good, then
we can consider this as a commercial source for the future. If they
don't perform, then I'll keep looking for you.
Please let me know if you are interested in product information while
we wait for the results of his evaluation.
