Hi there,

apparently there is no list giving the limits nicely listed. Could you give
me your experiences? What buffer is better, how much salt is tollerated?

Thanks a lot,
Juri

Is there a list giving what components are tolerated to what concentration in
purified protein solutions when the aim is to determine the molecular
weight of
the protein by ESI-MS?

I am aware of the work on detergents:
R.R. Ogorzalek Loo, N. Dales and P.C. Andrews, Protein Science
3(1994)1975-1983.
L.E. Henderson, S. Oroszlan and W. Konigsberg, Anal. Biochem. 93(1979)153 .

How about buffers (phosphate, tris, hepes, borate,...), salts (NaCl....) and
possibly other additives for crystallization (e.g. glycerol)?

Thanks a lot,
Juri
