Re: Met-O sequencing

As far as I understand,the sequencing conditions are reducing,to prevent
desulfurization,and ,the sulfoxide(SO),reverts to methionine.Methionine
sulfone(SO2) gives a stable PTH.

I tried it under the standard conditions I use for sequencing in the ABI
470 and the methionine sulfoxide did not survive. It appeared as
PTH-methionine. If someone knows of a method that works, I am also
interested.
