I don't have any experience with Thermo, but have had wonderful support from MicroMass and would definitely recommend them to you.

I have a single quad - supported by Waters, not MicroMass, I know - but when I had some problems with it shortly after installation Waters and MicroMass both went the extra mile to make sure everything was okay. When we couldn't resolve the problem they immediately shipped a new instrument and I had a Waters and a MicroMass service rep out to install it and spend an extra week in the lab running it with me. Turns out it was just an issue of me expecting too much, not an instrument problem after all. Even though we discovered this before the replacement was installed, they went ahead anyway, made sure I was comfortable with the new instrument before they left, and figured out a way around the problem that we had begun with. Their policy is, the customer is always right (even when the customer is wrong, as in my case!) and they will do whatever it takes to resolve the problem.

Hello everyone,
an associate of mine (Pharmacology Prof.) is in
the market for a triple quad for small molecule drug stuff. The main
players are ThermoFinnegan (or whatever they call themselves now) and
Micromass. Thermo are offering a sizeable discount but the gut feeling
is to go for the Micromass - we need feedback about service and
technical backup experiences etc. If Micro. comes out tops then I guess
we just squeeze them hard for the best deal.
Thanks in advance,
