Bryan,
We have no experience with MicroMass so I cannot comment on them. We have,
however, had a Finnigan TSQ-700 w/API for several years. The service
support has been outstanding. Response time is good and experience and
knowledge of service engineers has been very good. They have worked
diligently on any problems we have had. Obtaining needed parts overnight
has usually been a breeze. I am sure this varies depending on where you are
so I would listen to folks in your area regarding this issue.
Have you checked out the TSQ Quantum from ThermoFinnigan? This looks like a
really interesting instrument.
Regards from sunny St. Louis, MO.

Hello everyone,
an associate of mine (Pharmacology Prof.) is in
the market for a triple quad for small molecule drug stuff. The main
players are ThermoFinnegan (or whatever they call themselves now) and
Micromass. Thermo are offering a sizeable discount but the gut feeling
is to go for the Micromass - we need feedback about service and
technical backup experiences etc. If Micro. comes out tops then I guess
we just squeeze them hard for the best deal.
Thanks in advance,
Bryan.
