POSITION OPENING: Research Associate

The Molecular Biology Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia seeks
applications for a Research Associate. Qualifications include a B.A. with
at least 5 years, M.S. with at least 4 years, or Ph.D. with at least 2 years
of relevant work experience in molecular cloning techniques and the design
of expression-secretion cassettes. Other beneficial experience includes
protein purification, protein assembly and solubilization. Responsibilities
include generation of appropriate expression constructs, designing protocols
for cell growth, recombinant protein expression and purification, and
supervising a technician. Good written and verbal communication skills are
essential. The successful candidate must interact well in the supervision
of students, technicians, be a team player and be experienced in working
effectively in diverse environments. Most projects will involve service
work.
