Aebersold published a paper in 1987 [PNAS 84, 6970] for prepping glass
fiber filters for sequencing. It works well with proteins. We have not
tried this method with peptide samples. Instead, we apply the peptide
samples directly onto a small piece of Problot membranes under light
suction from a water pump. It works great and it is cheap.
