Position for a Ph.D. protein chemist is available at Regeneron
Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Education requirements: Ph. D. in chemistry or biochemistry and two
years of postdoctoral experience in protein isolation and characterization.
Our research is focused on the discovery of ligands for orphan tyrosine
kinase receptors and involves extensive use of affinity chromatography,
BIAcore and protein micropurification. The group is a part of Regeneron
Discovery Department. The candidates must be skilled in all modern
techniques of protein purification and characterization including low and
high pressure chromatography, gel electrophoresis and immunoblotting.
Experience with BIAcore system is highly desirable. Experience with
membrane proteins, extracellular matrix proteins and glycoprotein
analysis would be a plus. Also some background in signal transduction
and molecular biology would be welcome.
