Salary $25-40,000 per year, depending on experience.
The project involves isolating novel peptides that may be involved with a
variety of biological processes, including obesity, aggression, anxiety, and
many others. The peptides are isolated from mouse tissues by purification
on affinity columns and HPLC, or by 2D gels. Sequence analysis is then
performed by tandem MS and/or Edman degradation. Experience with peptide
isolation and/or mass spectrometry is desirable.
