Hi
I don't know of any literature references but we regularly leave
our samples in the heating block over both 2 and 3 day weekends and
haven't notice any problems. We also deliberately double deprotect our
very long oligo's by heating them overnight, evaporating off the ammonium
hydroxide, adding fresh ammonium hydroxide and heating them for a second
night.
