I had recently a discussion with Oxford University Press.
My question was : why not offering NAR as on-line ONLY (as a choice ;
library willing to keep the paper version and pay for could also
select).
The rationale was to save money on both parts : less expensive for the
reader and less expensive also for the publisher. It's a kind of "ultra-
green" version ; no more paper could be better then recycled paper.
But OUP doesn't agree till now.
In this case the reference problem could be solved.
On the other hand, I think that the complete URL address could be
sufficent as a reference. Why not.
And in my opinion, I'm dreaming of all journals accessible on the web.
regards.
