Subject: PROBLEMS IN THE BRONX
To: Recipients of ABRF List <abrf@aecom.yu.edu>
Dear overwhelmed colleagues:
There is a strange multiple message dissemination afoot. One apparently
offending address has been removed, but my ability to recognize and diagnose
the problem has been impeded by a problem with the biochemistry department
server for my own computer. These are unrelated problems, but the
combination has been dreadful. Infelicitous timing. The quantity of
bounced messages filling up the small mailboxes of some members will
certainly cause additional bounced mail. The ramefications of this may take
a day to clear out. Thanks to those of you who alerted me to the problem,
and to those 680 people who did not. Our nethelpers are at work. Those
pioneers who were members of the ABRF mailing list two years ago will
recognize that the current problem is not nearly so bad as a problem that
developed two years ago.
Thank you for your patience
Ruth
