LEAD RESEARCHER
National Jewish Medical and Research Center, a world class hospital and
research facility in Denver, has an opening for a Lead Researcher for the
Molecular Resource Center. Specific duties will include: providing
N-terminal sequence analysis, carrying out the synthesis of peptides and
oligonucleotides, providing ancillary services such as the HPLC isolation
and purification of proteins, peptides and oligonucleotides, and ensuring
quality control primarily by MALDI-TOF Mass spectrometry; directing one
research technician, repairing equipment and billing for services provided.
Requires: Bachelors degree in chemistry or biology and at least 4 yrs of
experience in a comparable facility. Candidates holding masters or
doctorates will also be considered with the additional education serving
in lieu of part of the direct experience on the equipment.
