Paul:
There was a recent discussion of these reagents on this BB. ABI
sells these three monitoring reagents. If you don't have the ABI
catalog let me know and I can fax you the proper ordering info.
Also, someone responded with information about a premixed ninhydrin
reagent called Trione from Pickering Labs. I don't know if it can be
used to monitor peptide synthesis steps. Maybe someone else out there
knows. Lastly, one of the regular responders here (sorry, my memory
is not good), provided an easy protocol for preparing these reagents
in the lab. I'd forward it to you but, of course, I can't seem to
find it.

Does anyone know of a vendor who carries a ninhydrin kit. It
consists of three reagents, ninhydrin in ethanol, pheonol in ethanol,
and KCN in pyridine. Should I just make it myself?? Thanks in
advance.
