Hi ABRF'ers,
I am hoping someone out there has some experience that will be helpful. We
are hoping to buy a new instrument for our fairly small Core Facility that
will hopefully be very versatile in its uses. We are looking for a protein
purification system, that will also be useful for separating peptide
digests for subsequent peptide sequencing. We are also hoping to be able to
purify long oligonucleotides, and other kinds of general separations that
perhaps are more usual for a real workhorse HPLC system. Perseptive and
Beckman, at least, and maybe others, have systems that appear to be rather
versatile and address some of these needs. We realize that this represents
a wide range of solvents, columns, sensitivity, etc. Anyway, does anyone
have any suggestions, experiences, considerations, or recommendations?
Thank-you in advance for your time and help.
