Dear Karlheinz,
Perhaps your problem may be a dirty flask and line. Your
symptoms seem to mimic those I find when white ppt. builds up in the bottom
of the flask. You can either perform a KOH wash of the flask (_not_
suggested by ABI by the way) or you can buy the procise flask replacement kit
at a reasonable cost. (I was told that they REALLY don't want us to do the
KOH wash since pieces of crud knocked off in the process can block the valve
blocks and the lines. This is the reason for the flask replacement kit being
low priced.) If you have more than a minimal amount of white material try the
flask replacement kit.
You may also want to check your flask leak test. I have had problems with
a number of the seals, and had one entire bad flask assembly. The major symptom
I saw with the bad flask assembly was an aniline peak which was did not go away
with changes in the drydown time until I was losing T and S due to overlong dry
downs. The flask passed leak tests, but became stuck in the assembly with
white stuff (hard) oozing out the top of the flask. How it could pass leak
tests and still ooze white stuff was beyond me.

Good Luck!

supposed to move in tonight. Good luck to all of you in the northwest! Try
