The bands in question are quite common and were (as mentioned earlier in this
forum) related to 2-mercaptoethanol oxidation. We were able to get around
this problem by buying small volumes (50ml) of 2ME and keping these in
refrigerator and using them only for electrophoresis.
At least one person from the "Head & Shoulders" people is a member of this
forum and I hope they will be in Baltimore.
