Steve,

We have it on all of our HP sequencers at Amgen. Our service engineer contacted people at the factory and they have no indication of a problem. We are also seeing it only in out 3.5 chemistry, so I suspect the toluene containing solvents.

Dear G1005A-ers,

We are getting a very broad peak which extends from Thr through Gly on
our HP sequencer. It is only present when using 3.5 chemistry. It
integrates as 0.5 to 2 pmol of Gln and tends to grow during a run. Its
appearance did not correlate exactly with any reagent changes, but S2/3 was
changed the day before the artifact started jumping. The lot numbers for
S2/3 and S3 are 31-0097-02 and 24-3266-04, respectively. We would try
different lot numbers, but we just have more of the same.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is anyone using the same S2/3
and S3 lots and not getting the artifact?

Many thanks in advance.

Steve
