Tracking problems and wrong lane assignments

Has anyone experienced incorrect tracking and/or incorrect lane
assignments? Lane assignments are particularly difficult when a number of
the reaction don't work. There have been a few instances where an
investigator got the wrong data. As one can imagine, they were not happy
about the situation. We now have a 377 DNA Sequencer which seems to do a
better job of tracking. Can anyone suggest safeguards that can be put in
place to eliminate this problem?
