Identification of Protein by Mass Spec

I have a colleague who has obtained mass spec data on peptides generated
from trypsin cleavage of proteins from C. elegans. The folks who did the
work for him searched known databases using the ProFound program, and, for
some samples were able to identify proteins. However, there is one protein
that they were unable to identify.

My colleague would like to searh the "Finished" and "Unfinished" databases
present at the Sanger Institute C.elegans genome project
(http://www.sanger.ac.uk/Projects/C_elegans/) to see if one of the newer
entries is a match for his protein. It is my understanding that these
sequences are not released to EMBL or Genbank until the people at the
Sanger Institute are confident of the data.

Is there any one out there who can suggest how we can accomplish this?
Thanks for your help.
