Re: Misc. - Storage if Iodoacetamide/Iodoacetic Acid

Ken, whenever I've bought Iodoacetic acid it has arrived from the
manufacturer yellow. I recrystalize it then store under nitrogen or
argon (UHP) in the freezer at -20 degrees C. When I need to use it I allow
the bottle to reach room temperature before opening to avoid
condensation of water into it. When treated this way it does not appear
to deteriorate.
