Hi Ken,

ProMaC stands for Protein Mass Calculator. ProMaC 1.5.5 requires a comput=
er=20
equipped with a 68020 CPU or higher or a PowerPC CPU, 4 MB of RAM and Sys=
tem=20
7.0.1 and higher. However, you are right that the program is written in C.
We presented the program for the first time in public at ABRF '97:
"Protein Mass Calculator - ProMaC: A Program to assist in Peptide and Pro=
tein=20
Structure Analysis,Urs R=F6thlisberger and Hans-Werner Lahm"

| a new MS calculator based on MacBioSpec called ProMaC, the uppercase C=20
|designating that it runs on the programming language C. It runs on Power=
Macs=20
|and is very good. Give your Sciex rep a call.
