To evaluate different procedures for the removal of SDS from proteins,
Konigsberg (Methods in Enzymology Vol. 91 pg 254-259 1983) added to his
proteins 35S[SDS]. I don't know if you have the option of using
radioactive SDS, but it is one way to quantitate residual SDS.
